Q: What is MINI DASH?

A: MINI DASH is a compact, real-time OBD2 display that shows boost pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature and intake temperature. It automatically connects to your OBD2 adapter and provides accurate, altitude-independent readings thanks to ambient pressure measurement.


Q: How does MINI DASH connect to my vehicle?

A: MINI DASH connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to the included Veepeak BLE+ OBD2 adapter. There is no need for manual pairing – the device will automatically connect.


Q: Does MINI DASH require an internet connection?

A: No, MINI DASH does not require an internet connection. It communicates directly with the OBD2 adapter via Bluetooth.


Q: Can I customize the display?

A: Yes! You can switch between different display modes (boost & temperature or temperature-only), choose which 2 temperatures (oil, coolant or intake temperature) are displayed, adjust screen orientation, and change brightness using the dedicated iOS app.


Compatibility

Q: Is my vehicle compatible with MINI DASH?

A: MINI DASH works with OBD2 vehicles that use CAN bus. This includes most vehicles from:

  • USA (2008+)
  • Canada (2008+)
  • EU (2008+ for gasoline, 2010+ for diesel)

Q: Will MINI DASH work on older vehicles?

A: If your vehicle does not use CAN bus or lacks certain sensors (e.g., oil temperature), some data may not be displayed. Check your vehicle’s OBD2 specifications before purchasing.


Q: Does MINI DASH support all vehicles with OBD2?

A: Not necessarily. While most modern OBD2 cars use CAN bus, some older models or non-standard vehicles may not transmit the required data. Please verify your vehicle’s compatibility.


Functionality

Q: What data does MINI DASH display?

A: MINI DASH displays:

  • Boost Pressure (requires an active boost sensor and support by your vehicle’s ECU)
  • Oil Temperature (requires an oil temperature sensor and support by your vehicle’s ECU)
  • Coolant Temperature (requires a coolant temperature sensor and support by your vehicle’s ECU)
  • Intake Temperature (requires an intake temperature sensor and support by your vehicle’s ECU)

Q: What happens if my car doesn’t have a required sensor?

A: If your car does not support a sensor, that section of the display will remain blank. MINI DASH can only display data that your car’s ECU provides.


Q: Can MINI DASH alert me about high temperatures?

A: Yes! If oil or coolant temperatures reach critical levels, MINI DASH will show a warning on the screen, ensuring you react in time.


Q: How accurate is the boost pressure reading?

A: MINI DASH uses ambient pressure compensation, meaning it delivers altitude-independent boost pressure readings. This makes it very accurate.


Setup & Installation

Q: How do I install MINI DASH?

A: Installation is simple:

  • Plug the Veepeak BLE+ OBD2 adapter into your vehicle’s OBD2 port.
  • Mount MINI DASH using the included magnetic vent mount.
  • Power it via USB (car charger, power bank, or any USB port).
  • MINI DASH will automatically connect to the OBD2 adapter and display data.

Q: Do I need to manually pair MINI DASH with my phone?

A: No. MINI DASH connects directly to the OBD2 adapter and does not require a phone for normal operation. However, the iOS app is available for customization.


Q: Does MINI DASH work with Android?

A: Currently, the customization app is only available for iOS. However, MINI DASH itself works independently and does not require a phone during normal use.

Q: What are the dimensions of MINI DASH?

A: MINI DASH features a 1.28" round display enclosed in a durable aluminum case.


Q: What is included in the package?

A: The MINI DASH kit includes:

  • MINI DASH (1.28” display, aluminum case)
  • Veepeak BLE+ OBD2 adapter
  • Magnetic vent mount
  • 1m (3.3 ft) USB-A to USB-C cable
  • User manual

Q: How is MINI DASH powered?

A: MINI DASH is powered via USB. You can use a car USB port, power bank, or any other standard USB power source. However, we recommend powering it via the car USB port so that it automatically turns on/off.


Q: Can I use MINI DASH in multiple vehicles?

A: Yes! As long as each vehicle has a compatible OBD2 system and the Veepeak BLE+ OBD2 adapter plugged in, you can move MINI DASH between cars easily.

A: We currently ship to the USA, Canada, and Europe. More regions may be added in the future.

A: Shipping times vary based on your location.


Q: What is your return policy?

A: We offer a 14-day return policy. If you’re not satisfied, you can return MINI DASH in its original condition for a full refund (excluding shipping costs).


Q: Is there a warranty?

A: In the European Union, MINI DASH comes with a 2-year statutory warranty covering defects that existed at the time of delivery. If you experience any issues, please contact our support team.
